Dr. Whit learned Spanish through lots of study. Four years in high school. One of his majors in college. A Master’s degree. A Ph.D.
He felt like there was always more to learn and more ways for him to improve, so he kept going.
Through those different phases and now while he has been helping other people learn Spanish, he has had the privilege to visit and live in Spanish-speaking countries including Honduras, Peru, Spain, Mexico, Chile, Nicaragua, and Ecuador.

For the creative stories that he writes, most of them are in English, but some are in English and Spanish.
Dr. Whit has some bilingual manuscripts that have the entire story in both English and Spanish. He also has a story that combines the languages with some characters speaking in English and some in Spanish.

It all started one night when Dr. Whit thought of a few couplets for “Fiery Furnace.” He had planned on writing other fictional stories, but the idea of writing rhythmic and rhyming Bible stories quickly took over.
After finishing that first story and sharing it with a few people, one of the first questions he and others had was “How many more stories?”
Dr. Whit used different spiral notebooks to write his first drafts by hand and edit them before putting them into the computer.
As he kept writing more and more drafts, the project grew bigger and bigger until he completed 52 stories per testament for a total of 104 stories, one per week for two whole years.
After writing the story about Saul/Paul and his conversion, Dr. Whit was struck by how good the story was. But it was not because it was his story. The reason it was good was because it was God’s. It was God’s Good Story that Dr. Whit had the honor to share.
