Bible Stories

Doctor Seuss meets Bible Stories in this potential Bible Storybook or series of picture books. Dr. Whit unites the Biblical text with engaging cadence and rhyme to help us write the Word on our hearts. Kids will love the stories and the way they are told. Parents will love reading these books to their children because of how much we can learn from the Scriptures. The Bible Storybook has 104 stories, 52 for each testament. Check out the small sample below.

Old Testament:

And then God said, “Let there be light!”

And He created day and night.

Let’s make a tower. Build it high.

So tall that it could reach the sky.

So Isaac walked with Abraham,

with two young men, but not a lamb.

“Now, Moses, listen. While we meet,

remove those sandals from your feet.”

“I’ll never leave, and you should know

that where you go, I’ll also go.”

“I’m here. You called for me,” I said.

“I didn’t call. Go back to bed.”

This shepherd’s brave, but he’s so small.

Our giant foe is nine feet tall.

Which God will answer when we call?

Which God can make His fire fall?

You all must hear the king’s decree:

When music plays, you bend your knee.

Those Ninevites are all so bad.

If they’re destroyed, then I’ll be glad.

New Testament:

“But I’m a virgin,” Mary said.

“Please tell me how since I’m unwed.”

And that’s when Jesus said to me,

“Go cast your nets out in the sea.”

Some trouble came, but then I learned

that Jesus Christ had just returned.

And after we had stayed all day,

the Twelve said, “Send the crowd away."

The rest of us were all afloat

upon the sea aboard our boat.

“An evil spirit plagues my son.

Could someone help us? Anyone?”

And yet the man still had a doubt.

“But who’s my neighbor?” he called out.

I don’t deserve to be your son

because of all that I have done.

Toward the front, the crowd stood tall.

They blocked my view since I was small.

At noon there shone a brilliant light.

It dimmed the sun it glowed so bright.
